Denmark's largest student residence in Amager

Located in the vibrant district of Amager, you will find Denmark's largest student residence with a total of 1024 rental units. The residence places great emphasis on resident democracy, which means that the many common areas and committees are managed by a residents' council. This council consists of eight residents elected at the residence's annual residents' meeting. Here, the voluntary residents who participate in various committees responsible for the operation of the residence's facilities, such as the gym, workshops, photo room, and rehearsal rooms, are also elected. In this way, the residents actively contribute to shaping the daily environment.

To ensure a good environment for everyone, smoking and pets are not allowed in the indoor areas. It is important to note that you must have at least one year of study left in your program to be able to move in. The waiting time for an apartment varies between 1 and 3 years, depending on the type of accommodation you are seeking. If current residents wish to move internally, they must contact the residence's administration.

When moving into the residence, there is a period of renovation. For example, if you receive a contract starting on the 1st of a month, the rental unit will be renovated from that date, which can take up to 14 days. However, you will pay rent from the 1st. Although the rental unit is being renovated from the start of the rental period, it has the advantage that you can stay until the last day of your notice period, as the new tenant pays rent during the renovation period.
