Falkoner Kollegiet: Modern and Centrally Located
Falkoner Kollegiet, built in 2006, is a modern dormitory located in the heart of Frederiksberg, close to Frederiksberg Metro Station, CBS, Frederiksberg Gymnasium, and Frederiksberg Center. With a total of 114 youth housing units, of which 10 are 2-room apartments, the dormitory offers a dynamic and centrally located living environment.
The building is designed at an angle with three and five floors respectively. Each unit is equipped with its own bathroom, toilet, and a practical kitchenette. Additionally, there is a larger communal kitchen on each floor where residents can meet and cook together. The dormitory also offers a shared laundry, and the electricity consumption is billed directly with the electricity company, while a fixed amount is paid for electricity for common operations.
It is possible to apply for housing support for all units, and the dormitory is smoke-free in all common areas. For contracts entered into after March 15, 2011, the rooms are also smoke-free. Heating and water expenses are billed as a fixed amount and may vary, just as antenna expenses vary depending on the chosen TV package on the floor. Type C units are designed with accessibility in mind, which means, among other things, that the kitchen counters can be adjusted in height.
Internet connection is provided by Dansk Kabel TV, and it is the residents' responsibility to register upon moving in and deregister upon moving out. A monthly payment of 35 DKK for service on the facility is included in the rent. If one does not wish to use Dansk Kabel TV, this is possible, but except for the service fee, one is not exempt.
