Experience the University Residence - A Unique Housing Community

The University Residence is strategically located right near AAU Campus East and is designed as an inviting enclave of charming student housing. Here you can find accommodations both with and without lofts, providing a flexible solution for any student. The residence is built in a former teaching building, adding a historical dimension to the modern apartment types and the many common areas available to residents.

In the heart of the University Residence, you will find the large and cozy common area we call 'The Boulevard'. This is not just a room, but a vibrant gathering point where social life flourishes. Here you can enjoy everything from casual board games and foosball to pool, table tennis, air hockey, and not least our impressive home theater with a projector. The comfortable sofa groups invite relaxation and coziness.

If you need space for activities that cannot take place in your own accommodation, the residence offers several common rooms. There are six shared kitchens available, which can be booked for gatherings with family and friends. These kitchens can also be used as study rooms with whiteboards and wireless internet available. If a large party is to be held, the large common room in the basement can be reserved for the occasion.

Outdoors, the residence offers beautiful and well-maintained courtyards with picnic tables, where you can enjoy the green surroundings around the building. Additionally, there is locked bike parking in the basement, personal storage rooms, and a large laundry room with 11 washing machines and 6 dryers, ensuring that there is always space when you need to do laundry.

Social life is a priority at the University Residence, where an active residents' council and party committee ensure that events and activities are organized. New residents are always warmly welcomed. Should you need assistance in your daily life, our caretaker, Per Hansen, is ready to assist you all five weekdays. Per is known for his helpfulness and was named 'the world's best caretaker' by the residents in 2019.

We recommend the University Residence due to its short distance to the neighborhood's facilities, including just a four-minute bike ride to AAU Campus East. Additionally, the fantastic shared facilities and the many opportunities to network with other residents are a great advantage. The residence offers modern and unique types of housing, and there is the possibility to apply for housing support. Please note that there is a maintenance scheme that includes a 14-day refurbishment after moving out, which the tenant pays for.
