If you are interested in moving into Trekroner Kollegiet, you can expect to receive an offer for a one-room apartment shortly after you have signed up. For multi-room apartments, the waiting time is typically up to six months. The Kollegiet, which was built in 1992, is located just a few hundred meters from Roskilde University and houses a total of 108 apartments.

Of the 108 apartments, 82 are designed as 'mini-collectives', where residents share a kitchen and two bathrooms with three other students. This creates a unique social atmosphere where community is at the center. The gross area for these apartments is between 24 and 25 square meters, with the rooms measuring 12 to 15 square meters, while the rest are common areas. The remaining apartments have their own kitchen and bathroom.

From the Kollegiet's second and third floors, residents can enjoy a stunning view of the lake and large parts of Campus Roskilde. The Kollegiet offers a range of social activities, including a weekly café, movie nights, and game nights. In the summer, there are often bonfire gatherings and other outdoor activities. The Kollegiet's board places great emphasis on promoting a good social environment, which is an ongoing priority to ensure that residents thrive.

The Kollegiet is home to students from many different countries, and it is equipped with high-speed internet (100 Mbit), which is connected to Roskilde University's network. Shopping options are only 200 meters away, and there is a short walking distance to Trekroner Station, from where trains regularly run to both Copenhagen and Roskilde. The journey to Copenhagen Central Station takes about 20 minutes, while Roskilde Station is only five minutes away.

It is important to note some practical information: Pets are not allowed in the Kollegiet, but children are welcome to live in the two-room apartments. However, the apartments are not suitable for people with disabilities, such as wheelchair users. Housing benefits can only be applied for apartments with their own kitchen. There are rules for cleaning in the mini-collectives, and the rent includes water, heating, electricity, antenna, and internet. The Kollegiet also has laundry facilities, the use of which is included in the rent. Upon moving in, a deposit equivalent to three months' net rent is required.
