Amagerkollegiet: Modern Housing in Scenic Surroundings

Amagerkollegiet offers modern housing with private kitchen, toilet, and bathroom, and the waiting time to get a housing here typically ranges from 6 to 12 months. The college is beautifully located in Ørestaden, far away from the city's traffic noise, surrounded by peaceful green areas. The college was originally built in 1967 and underwent a comprehensive renovation in 2000. Today, it houses around 400 residents spread across 278 apartments, which are scattered over a larger green area. The apartments are grouped in courtyards with 19 to 31 apartments per courtyard, and they are available as both 1- and 2-room apartments. Each apartment has direct access to the courtyard, which is frequently used for barbecue evenings and other social activities in the summer.

The independent apartments give residents the flexibility to decide how much they want to participate in communal meals and social activities. However, the college offers many opportunities for social interaction, with common houses and a common room that serves as the college's social center. There is also a bar that is open every evening and run by the college's own residents.

The two-room apartments at the college are also child-friendly, and pets are allowed, except for dogs.
