Utterslevhuse offers a unique opportunity to become part of a vibrant housing community through a special rental procedure. As part of an experimental arrangement, this process focuses on promoting strong and well-functioning housing communities. Although you must meet the same requirements as for CIU's other waiting lists and earn seniority in the same way, in this case, you will be guided to an interest list at KAB/SAB/Utterslevhuse instead of a specific apartment. The selection of new residents takes place through a unique process, which you can read more about below. The only way to access an apartment is by signing up for the interest list and following the special procedure. If you are accepted on the list, you can contact s.dk to retrieve your seniority with CIU. Note that co-applicants are not automatically signed up; they must register themselves on the interest list if they wish to do so.

The community in Utterslevhuse is surrounded by scenic areas such as Utterslevmose, Gyngemosen, and the Copenhagen Ramparts. There is room for 45 residents, and the apartments consist of 3- or 4-room apartments, where you share a living room, kitchen, bathroom, and balcony with two other students. SAB aims to highlight the opportunity to engage in a social community with shared activities and good neighborliness, both with those you share an apartment with and the other residents in the area.

Once you have been assigned to the interest list, KAB/SAB will take care of the further process. Note that it is not allowed to have children living in these apartments. Additional information about 'The Community' can be found on KAB's and SAB's websites.

The location of the apartments is extremely convenient with nearby educational institutions such as DTU and the Danish School of Media and Journalism, and it only takes about 30 minutes to bike to Rådhuspladsen. Bus no. 2A runs around the clock, making transportation even more convenient. Expenses for water, heating, and electricity are paid in advance and are included in the rent. However, it is not possible to estimate the waiting time for obtaining an apartment in this property in advance.
